The only foods actually worthy of being ordered from Panera are the salads and the sandwiches. The rest of the foods they serve to customers are simply reheated frozen foods.
Dunkin’ Donuts does not make fresh-baked anything. Instead, they receive frozen foods and simply reheat them when needed. They do this for anything they can: meats, eggs, and even the donuts. If this type of thing bothers you, it’s best to just ask an employee if the donuts are fresh-baked at the establishment.
You knew this would be on the list, didn’t you? The bottom line is that McDonald’s cannot guarantee the freshness of their McNuggets. They sit around under a heat lamp until they’re sold, and that could be a very long time indeed. Even if you make a special request for fresh nuggets ONLY, you will never know for certain if you got them, will you?
You may cringe a little just looking at this photo of a ballpark frank. And actually, your life may be better off if you never learn the truth, but here goes nothing: Basically, that hot dog that seems to beckon your very name during the game, could be really old. At the end of a game, the unsold franks are re-hydrated in a vat of water, stored, and served for the next event.
Unfortunately, theaters do not serve better quality products in exchange for the extreme price jack. The stuff that didn’t sell the night before is just reheated and served to the matinee crowd.
Half the time McDonald’s employees barely even know how to operate the machine, let alone how to clean it! Best to let a real barista handle your next fancy coffee drink.
The sad little rubbery lemon slice in your drink could be full of bacteria, and the ice could have come from a dirty machine. These things are not always the top priority of busy restaurants.
First keep in mind that it’s probably not a good idea to eat anything made at a gas station. The reason why we highlight the nastiness of Slurpees over all the other gas station foods we could choose from, is because the machines are usually full of mold. That’s right, the delicious Slurpee liquids churn through machines that are just never clean enough, and you can’t even tell because all that’s hidden in the inside of the machine. Just stay away.
It has been noted among workers, that the steak-cut “meat” changes into a sort of gel consistency the longer it sits out. And the beans they serve are not even really beans; instead, they are vague mixture of re-hydrated who-knows-what.
BBQ chicken sandwiches from KFC are a real no-no. The meat they use with this stuff is so bad that its dryness has to be disguised by being thoroughly saturated in sauce. The meat is so bad on its own, that it has actually been rejected by homeless shelters upon donation.
